Peter tells his readers to make every effort to add seven qualities to their faith, and says that if they do, they will never stumble. Over eight Sundays in mid-2024, Norman worked through that list one quality at a time, reading each through the Hebrew behind the Greek: emunah for faith, da'at for knowledge, kibush ha-yetzer for self-control, chasidut for godliness. What comes out is a working order for growth, not a list of virtues to admire.
